Aluminium billet inventories rose 37,400 mt on week

SMM data showed that aluminium billet stocks across the five major consumption areas — Foshan, Wuxi, Huzhou, Changzhou and Nanchang — in China built up 37,400 mt from a week ago to 165,500 mt as of Wednesday February 10.

SHANGHAI, Feb 10 (SMM) – Shipments of aluminium billet in China decreased 13,300 mt to 14,000 mt this week due to the upcoming CNY holiday.
SMM data showed that aluminium billet stocks across the five major consumption areas — Foshan, Wuxi, Huzhou, Changzhou and Nanchang — in China built up 37,400 mt from a week ago to 165,500 mt as of Wednesday February 10.
Inventories in five warehouses increased to varying degrees. Among them, Foshan increased the most, reaching 15,100 mt, followed by Wuxi with an increase of 12,700 mt.
