SHANGHAI, Feb 9 (SMM) – Output of cobalt sulphate stood at 4,334 mt in metal content in January, up 3.3% month-on-month and 42.9% year-on-year. Output of cobalt sulphate hit a new record high in January amid increasing pre-holiday operating rates and rising orders.

China's cobalt sulphate output is expected to stand 3,700 mt in February, down 14.6% month on month but up 104% year on year. Some small and medium-sized cobalt salt factories have the CNY holidays ranging from 8 to 10 days, and the operating rates were far lower than downstream producers.
