Wei Qiao Entrepreneurship and BAIC Foton signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly create a new benchmark for domestic automobile lightweight.

The Beginning of Spring season, planning and development is the right time. On February 3, the signing ceremony and business docking meeting of strategic cooperation between Weiqiao Entrepreneurship Group and BAIC Foton Automobile Co., Ltd. were held in Weiqiao Entrepreneurship Group.

Zhang Baoliang, member of the standing Committee of the Binzhou Municipal CPC Committee and executive vice mayor; Zhang Zhiyong, deputy secretary general of the municipal government; Shang Libo, director of the Bureau of Commerce; Lu Mingtao, director of the Transport Bureau; Hu Yunjiang, deputy secretary of the Zouping Municipal CPC Committee and mayor; and Zhao Dong, member of the standing Committee of the municipal party committee and executive vice mayor. Zhang Bo, chairman of Weiqiao Venture Group, and Chang Rui, deputy secretary of the party committee and general manager of BAIC Foton Automobile Co., Ltd., jointly signed a strategic cooperation agreement.

Zhang Baoliang introduced the general situation of Binzhou City, industrial development and the cultivation of emerging industries. He said that Foton Automobile is a commercial vehicle enterprise of global and national scale, and Weiqiao Venture Group is one of the top 500 enterprises in the world, which has cultivated two major sectors of the world's competitive aluminum industry and textile industry. The two sides have reached strategic cooperation and complementary advantages. The combination of strong and strong will certainly accelerate the high-quality development in their respective fields and jointly create a new benchmark for domestic automobile lightweight. It is hoped that the two sides will dock deeply and speed up the landing of projects and cooperation in all fields, so that more large and good projects will be settled in Binzhou, so as to achieve common progress and mutual benefit. Chang Rui introduced the performance of Foton Motor in 2020 and the specific matters of cooperation between the two sides. Zhang Bo briefly introduced the operation and development of Weiqiao Entrepreneurship Group in 2020, as well as the development of lightweight industry in the layout of United Nations University of Science and Technology, Suzhou University and advantageous enterprises. The two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation in the research and development of new energy commercial vehicles, vehicle lightweight and other fields, and on this basis, further strengthen exchanges and docking, and promote more in-depth and comprehensive cooperation with each other.

At the ceremony, Liang Zhaowen, vice president of Foton Automotive Business and president of Ouhui bus Division, introduced the lightweight new energy bus cooperation project in detail.

At the business docking meeting, Yang Congsen, executive director and deputy general manager of the group, signed a memorandum of strategic cooperation with Wu Xibin, deputy general manager of Futian Motor. The two sides made in-depth communication on the relevant situation of the Weiqiao lightweight base and the specific issues of the next step of cooperation.

The attendees visited the Weiqiao start-up Enterprise Pavilion, Weiqiao lightweight Base and 600KA electrolysis series production line.
