It is said that SK Hynix M16 factory is installing EUV lithography machine, and the new generation of DRAM will be unveiled in 1H as soon as possible.

According to etnews, SK Hynix has begun installing EUV lithography machines at its M16 plant in Lichuan, South Korea, to mass-produce 10nm 1a DRAM.

Prior to this, SK Hynix announced that it would build a production line in the M16 factory this year to produce the next generation DRAM, but did not disclose the introduction mode and exact time of the ASML EUV lithography machine.

Therefore, there is a lot of speculation in the industry, including the transfer of two EUV lithography machines from the research building R3 to the production line, and plans to start installing newly purchased equipment in February this year. Now it seems that the purchase and installation of SK Hynix new equipment is faster than the industry expected.

The report pointed out that the installation time of the EUV lithography machine takes 3-6 months, so SK Hynix can mass produce the first batch of products as soon as the first half of this year.

It is reported that ASML is the exclusive supplier of EUV lithography machines, with a price of more than $135 million.
