Silicon social inventories expanded 3,000 mt on week

Social inventories of silicon metal across Huangpu port, Kunming city and Tianjin port rose 3,000 mt to 83,000 mt as of Friday January 15, SMM data showed.

SHANGHAI, Jan 15 (SMM) – Social inventories of silicon metal across Huangpu port, Kunming city and Tianjin port rose 3,000 mt from the previous week to 83,000 mt as of Friday January 15, SMM data showed.
Silicon plants and traders increased shipments to Kunming, Xinjiang and Tianjin as they concerned about transportation in the near term. Exports are expected to fall slightly on the month in January.
