Minmetals rare earth "Xikuang Antimony Mine Heritage" was selected into the fourth batch of national industrial heritage list.

On December 24, 2020, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the fourth batch of national industrial heritage list, in which the Xikuang Antimony Mine Heritage, which is under the jurisdiction of Minmetals rare Earth Tin Mine Flash Star Antimony Industry Co., Ltd., was successfully selected, which is the first project in the country to be successfully selected as antimony ore heritage on the national industrial heritage list.

Xikuang Antimony Mine Heritage is located in Lengshuijiang City, Loudi City, Hunan Province. Xikuanxing Antimony Industry Co., Ltd. is a major antimony mine in the world, a major producer and supplier of antimony products, as well as a major national R & D and export base of antimony products. It has been exploited for 123 years, contains rich antimony culture and records the hard work of the older generation of antimony people. It is an important part of the industrial civilization of the whole province.

In order to further strengthen the protection of industrial heritage, inherit the industrial spirit and deeply excavate the cultural heritage value of Xikuang, in accordance with the requirements of the interim measures for the Administration of Industrial Heritage and the Circular of the General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on carrying out the fourth batch of national industrial heritage identification and application, Xikuang actively followed up the fourth batch of national industrial heritage identification and application work and drafted and submitted relevant materials before June 10, 2020. On September 16 of the same year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the provincial department sent personnel to carry out on-site verification of the declaration items of "Xikuang Antimony Mine Heritage". Through on-site understanding and on-the-spot verification, the verification team believes that the "Xikuang Antimony Mine Heritage" has distinctive features, outstanding industrial and cultural value, good preservation of the main body of the heritage, clear property rights, and meets the requirements of the scope and conditions of the declaration, and will be verified and approved. After a series of links, such as centralized evaluation by the national industrial heritage evaluation expert group and online publicity, "Xikuang Antimony Mine Heritage" stood out from hundreds of projects across the country and was successfully selected into the fourth batch of national industrial heritage list.

Tin Mine will take this successful declaration of industrial heritage as an opportunity to conscientiously implement the relevant requirements of the interim measures for the Administration of National Industrial Heritage, and further attach importance to and strengthen the protection and utilization of antimony ore heritage. At the same time, we will combine innovative ideas and methods, combined with the development of red tourism in tin mines, strive to create a "life belt" for the protection and utilization of antimony ore heritage in Xikuang, and work out a new way for the protection and utilization of antimony industrial heritage. promote the transformation, upgrading and high-quality development of tin mines, and make new contributions to the development of the national antimony industry.
