[China Automobile Association: the year-on-year growth rate of sales narrowed to less than 2 per cent in 2020] in 2020, car sales continued to grow since April, reaching 25.311 million vehicles for the whole year, narrowing to less than 2 per cent year-on-year growth and continuing to rank first in the world. The monthly sales of new energy vehicles have continued to grow sharply since July compared with the same period last year, and the market sales for the whole year are better than expected. Car exports began to recover in September after the first eight months of slump, and the export volume set a new record for two consecutive months in November and December.
