Midea Jingzhou base invests 2 billion yuan to build washing machine industrial park with a production capacity of 15 million units.

In July 2020, in order to support Hubei's economic recovery after the epidemic, Midea announced that he would expand investment in Wuhan and Jingzhou. Jingzhou is one of Midea's important production bases, the main products are refrigerators and washing machines. In addition to refrigerators, washing machines are also the main products of Jingzhou base. Sasong's influence in household appliances, the rising star Wuxi Little Swan took over Sasong refrigerator and set up Little Swan (Jingzhou) Sanjin Electrical Appliances Co., Ltd. Little Swan, a company specializing in washing machines, has built a washing machine production line in Jingzhou and resumed the production of sand pine refrigerators, but it has not been successful. Jingzhou is equivalent to using the fame of sand pine to attract the enterprise of Little Swan. In 2018, Midea acquired Little Swan and became the largest shareholder. At that time, the market share of Little Swan's washing machine was 17.2%, ranking second in the country, twice that of Mei's washing machine, which ranked third at that time. The Jingzhou base of Little Swan originally produced double-bucket washing machines, but with the development of the times, it was gradually replaced by wheel-type and drum-type washing machines.

In 2011, the expansion project of Midea's washing machine Jingzhou base began, with a total investment of 450 million yuan. After completion and production, the Jingzhou base will have a production capacity of 6 million washing machines, with an annual output value of more than 4 billion yuan. Ten years later, Jingzhou Mei's washing machine once again ushered in the opportunity of large-scale expansion. The first phase of Midea's new washing machine industrial park project, with a total investment of 2 billion yuan, was built by Lake North America washing Machine Co., Ltd.

Lake North America's washing machine company is jointly funded by Wuxi Little Swan (95%) and Foshan Mei (5%). Wuxi Little Swan is now controlled by Midea. In other words, Jingzhoumei's washing machine is basically the crew of Little Swan. Jingzhou Mei's new washing machine industrial park is located at the confluence of Fuxing Avenue and Shanghai Avenue (south of Fuxing Avenue and west of Shanghai Avenue). The first phase of planning and construction covers an area of 630mu, with an annual production capacity of 15 million units, planning and construction of automatic intelligent washing machine production line, 3 production plants, 1 product R & D center, park roads and related supporting facilities. Construction is scheduled to begin in January 2021. Midea's new washing machine production line in Jingzhou is the most advanced automatic intelligent washing machine at present.
