[rare earth plate strength and resources and other trading spot prices continue to rise] in early trading on January 13, the rare earth plate continued to strengthen for the second day, Shenghe Resources and Sichuan Energy Power rose by the daily limit, Sinosteel Tianyuan once rose by the daily limit, and the northern rare earths and Zhenghai magnets were among the top gainers. Spot prices of rare earths have generally continued to rise today, and the spot prices of rare earths reported by SMM have generally risen again, with the average price of neodymium oxide rising 15000 yuan / ton from yesterday, 11.28% higher than the adjusted low on December 17, and praseodymium neodymium oxide up 8.68% from December 18.

In early trading on January 13, the rare earth plate continued to strengthen on the second day, Shenghe Resources and Sichuan Energy Power rose by the limit, Sinosteel Tianyuan once rose by the daily limit, and rare earths in the north and Zhenghai magnets were among the top gainers.

Serra Verde, a Brazilian rare earth element producer, announced today that the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) offered it a financing package worth $565 million, which also includes an option for the US government to acquire a minority stake in the company. Serra Verde’s Pela Ema ionic clay deposit in Brazil is scheduled to begin commercial production in 2024, with an expected annual output of 5,000 mt of total rare earth oxides, including dysprosium, erbium, neodymium, and praseodymium. Serra Verde plans to use the funds to refinance existing loan facilities and expand production capacity. The project aims to increase total rare earth oxide production to 6,500 mt per year by 2027.
