






Recently, Chery Holdings Group released its annual sales "report card" for 2020-in December, the group sold 115700 vehicles, with a cumulative sales volume of 730000 vehicles, of which 114000 were exported, ranking first in the export of Chinese brand passenger cars for 18 years in a row. So far, Chery Group has a total of 9.05 million global car users, including 1.7 million overseas users.
Since March, Chery Group sales have maintained positive month-on-month growth for 10 consecutive months, and since October, monthly sales of 88000, 102000 and 116000 vehicles have reached an annual high, with an average monthly growth rate of 28% in the fourth quarter compared with the same period last year. As of December, the Group's Chery Tiger 8 series, the new Ruihu 5x, Ruihu 7, Jettos and other models have sold more than 10,000 cars a month. Among them, the annual sales of Ruihu 8 series and Jetta series both exceeded 100000 vehicles.
In the face of the spread of the global epidemic and trade protection, Chery Group's vehicle export volume will continue to grow in 2020. The group exported 114000 cars for the whole year, an increase of 18.7% over the same period last year, keeping the first place in the export of Chinese-branded passenger cars for 18 consecutive years. Up to now, Chery has established six major R & D bases, 10 overseas factories and more than 1500 overseas dealers and service outlets around the world, with a total overseas production capacity of 200000 units per year.
In terms of models, the annual sales of the two major series, Chery Tiger and Erize, reached 449000 vehicles, an increase of 8.6 per cent over the same period last year. Among them, the Chery Tiger 8 series has exceeded 20, 000 vehicles for two months in a row, with cumulative sales of nearly 300000 vehicles in the two years on the market; in December 2020, the newly listed iRuize 5 PLUS, has sold more than 5000 vehicles in more than 10 days on the market.
In terms of new energy, under the leadership of the "ant family" represented by pure electric SUV big ants and miniature pure electric vehicles represented by small ants, Chery New Energy has an annual sales volume of 43000 vehicles.
Chery high-end brand EXEED Star Road launched the global M3X Mars architecture in 2020, completed the layout of compact SUV, medium-sized SUV, medium-and large-scale SUV, and achieved 50 per cent year-on-year sales growth. It is worth mentioning that Xingtu TXL won the C-NCAP "five-star +" safety rating with a comprehensive score of 93.6 per cent, and the model has officially entered the Russian market.
The shortcut brand with the label "Travel +" has sold more than 300000 vehicles since its first model was launched on August 18, 2018. Among them, the cumulative sales of the two products, the X70 PLUS and the new X90, reached 126600 vehicles in 2020.
In the joint venture, Chery Jaguar Land Rover welcomed the 300,000 vehicles off the line in 2020, the ninth consecutive month of sales growth, with full-year sales of 57900 vehicles, up 8.8 per cent from a year earlier. The launch of the first model after the Kaiyi Smart Factory went into production in June led to its full-year sales of 33300 vehicles, up 23 per cent from a year earlier.

In 2019, Chery sold a total of 745000 cars, down 0.9 per cent from 752000 in 2018, and 2.01 per cent in 2020 compared with the previous year. Under the premise of the concussion of the car market in 2020, on the one hand, Chery Group has achieved sustained growth in overseas export business, with a global cumulative user increase of 750000, on the other hand, it has also brought new products such as Erize 5 PLUS, Ruihu 8 PLUS, the new Jetway X90 and other new products, which are relatively stable in comparison.
