In response to investors' questions on the interactive platform on January 8, Sai Wei Electronics said that the verification of the company's Beijing MEMS production line had not encountered major technical difficulties.

Some netizens asked, "more than three months after the production ceremony, the internal verification of the product cannot be passed, and the customer verification is even more out of reach. can it be understood that there are major technical problems in the production line that cannot be solved, and that the planned expansion of production is blocked?"

In this regard, Sai Microelectronics replied that the verification work of the company's Beijing MEMS production line has not encountered major technical problems, the relevant technical team is actively promoting the relevant work, and the communication with customers is also ongoing, generally speaking, it is in line with the general law that the new semiconductor production line is put into operation.

On September 29th, Selex Microsystems Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd., jointly invested by Sai Microelectronics and the National Foundation, launched the 8-inch MEMS International OEM Line Celebration in Beijing Economic and technological Development Zone, with a production capacity of 10,000 pieces per month.

Selex Beijing is an 8-inch MEMS International OEM Line (FAB3) project company jointly invested by Beijing Selex International Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Selex Microelectronics, and the National Integrated Circuit Industry Investment Fund Co., Ltd., mainly engaged in the production of MEMS chips. The 8-inch MEMS international contract manufacturing line built by Selex in Beijing relies on the mature manufacturing technology and production management model of the company's wholly-owned subsidiary Silex (FAB1&FAB2) in Sweden to create a MEMS industrialization platform representing the industry's leading level.

Silicon Metal Market Review for January and Outlook for February
In January, the silicon metal market experienced a relatively loose supply-demand balance, with a theoretical inventory buildup of approximately 30,000 mt. In February, both supply and demand contracted simultaneously, and the market is expected to show a tight balance or minor destocking. The current high industry inventory still requires time to be digested, and the sustainability of destocking remains a key variable affecting price trends and market sentiment.

A plant in northern China is calling for bids for indium ingots and bismuth ingots
SMM, February 6 - According to SMM’s investigation of market information, a large smelter in northern China began public bidding for a certain quantity of indium ingots and bismuth ingots starting yesterday. Market sources indicate that the starting price for these indium ingots exceeds 4,000 yuan per kilogram, while the starting price for bismuth ingots is above 150,000 yuan per ton. The bidding results are expected to be announced before the Spring Festival. Market participants note that, given the clear trend of sluggish trading activity ahead of the Spring Festival, the timing of this bidding is not ideal. However, the relatively favorable starting prices have generated considerable market anticipation for the outcome of the bidding.
