[SKI invests US $1 billion to build a battery plant with an annual capacity of 11.7GWh] it is reported that South Korea's SK Innovation will be a US subsidiary SK Battery America Inc.. Issue $1 billion in green bonds to expand its battery production capacity for electric vehicles in the United States. The subsidiary will use the money to build its second EV battery plant in Georgia.

SKI began building a second battery plant in July at its Georgia plant, which is scheduled to start production in 2023 with an annual capacity of 11.7GWh. It is reported that 90% of the first factory has been completed and trial production is expected to begin in the first half of 2021. The capacity of the two plants is expected to reach 21.5GWh.
