Global semiconductor sales reached $39.4 billion in November 2020, up 7.0 per cent from $36.9 billion in November 2019 and 1.1 per cent from $39 billion in October 2020, the US semiconductor industry association (SIA) announced on January 4.
John Neuver (John Neuffer), CEO of SIA, said: "Global semiconductor sales continued to grow in November, the highest percentage year-on-year increase since March. Although the epidemic and other macroeconomic factors have caused great resistance to semiconductor sales, annual sales in 2020 will still far exceed total sales in 2019. "

On a monthly basis, Japan increased by 5.2%, Europe by 3.6%, the Americas by 2.1% and China by 0.1%. Sales increased, but decreased by 0.5% in the Asia-Pacific region / other regions.
