According to data from the China Automobile Association, from January to November, the production and sales of new energy vehicles were 1.119 million and 1.109 million, with production down 0.1% from a year earlier, 9.1% lower than in the January-October period, and sales up 3.9% from a year earlier, ending the downward trend.

Fu Bingfeng, executive vice president and secretary general of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, pointed out that the automobile market is expected to show slow growth next year, the automobile market will remain stable in the next five years, and car sales are expected to reach 30 million in 2025.

China International Capital Corporation plans to raise 1.05 billion yuan for his sponsor company to build a project with an annual production capacity of 50, 000 tons of high-end ternary lithium battery precursors and 10, 000 tons of battery lithium hydroxide.

Yahua Group: sign the supply contract of battery-grade lithium hydroxide with Tesla

The subsidiary signed a supply contract with Tesla for battery-grade lithium hydroxide from 2021 to 2025, the company announced on the evening of December 29th. Tesla buys battery-grade lithium hydroxide products with a total value of US $630 million to US $880 million from Ya'an Lithium Industry. SQM and LG Energy Solution sign eight-year Lithium supply Agreement

Chile's SQM, the world's second-largest lithium miner, signed a long-term agreement with LG Energy Solution on December 23rd. The contract, which runs from 2021 to 2029, involves the supply of about 55000 tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent, SQM said. SQM will provide lithium carbonate for batteries and lithium hydroxide for producing high-quality cathodes, which are important components of electric vehicle batteries.

The completion of the first phase of the Tianyi lithium industry battery grade lithium hydroxide project and the opening ceremony of the second phase were a complete success.

Tianhua Chaojing plans to raise 780 million yuan to invest in the second phase of battery-grade lithium hydroxide project.

On the evening of December 2, Tianhua Super net disclosed the plan to issue shares to specific targets, with a total of no more than 165 million shares and no more than 780 million yuan in total funds raised to no more than 35 specific investors. The net funds raised after deducting the issuance costs will be used for the second phase of the battery-grade lithium hydroxide construction project.

Tianhua Chaojing plans to invest in the construction of the second phase of battery-grade lithium hydroxide through its subsidiary Tianyi Lithium Industry, which is jointly funded by Tianhua Super Clean in 2018, United Ningde Times and other companies. The second phase of the battery-grade lithium hydroxide project is located in Jiangan County Industrial Park, Yibin City, Sichuan Province. Galaxy Resources to raise US $118 million for Argentine Lithium Project

Recently, Australian lithium miner Galaxy Resources (Galaxy Resources) said it plans to raise 161 million Australian dollars (US $118 million) to finance lithium projects in Argentina and Canada. Most of the funds raised will be used to advance the first phase of the company's Sal de Vida lithium brine project in Argentina. The engineering and design of the first phase of the project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of next year and is expected to be put into production for the first time by the end of 2022. Galaxy Resources aims to operate at Sal de Vida for 40 years, producing 25000 tons of lithium carbonate for batteries each year.

Shengxin Lithium can increase the Capital of Shengtun Lithium Industry by 330 million to promote the Development of Lithium Salt Business

On the evening of November 17th, Shengxin Lithium Energy announced that the company increased its capital by RMB 330 million to Sichuan Shengtun Lithium Industry Co., Ltd. The project covers an area of 292mu and the construction area is about 120000 square meters. after it is put into production, the Mahon plant will increase the annual production capacity of 50, 000 tons of battery-grade lithium hydroxide, with a total design capacity of 81000 tons, ranking first in the world.

Tesla is going to build a lithium hydroxide plant and plans to start operation of Q4 in 2022.

Zilla is planning to build a lithium hydroxide plant near the Austin plant in Texas. Q4 is scheduled to start operating in 2022 and will be used to provide raw materials for the upcoming Cyber fuel truck Gigafactory.

Lithium Americas restarts Argentine lithium project to deliver 40, 000 tons of battery-grade lithium carbonate per year

In August, Lithium Americas is preparing to resume construction of its Cauchari-Olaroz lithium project in Jujuy, Argentina. Construction activities of the project were suspended in March this year because of the novel coronavirus epidemic. As of June 30, 47 per cent of the Cauchari-Olaroz project had been completed, 75 per cent of capital expenditure had been committed and $304 million had been spent. The project was developed by Lithium Americas and Ganfeng Lithium under a 50:50 joint venture partnership. Upon completion of the approval process, Ganfeng Lithium Americas will increase its interest in Cauchari-Olaroz to 51 per cent of the remaining 49 per cent. Once put into use, Cauchari-Olaroz expects to deliver 40, 000 tonnes of battery-grade lithium carbonate a year, Lithium Americas said.

Yahua Lithium Industry (Ya'an) Co., Ltd. has an annual output of 20,000 tons of lithium hydroxide production line officially put into production.

Yongshan Lithium Industry Changsha Investment Project with an annual output of 45000 tons of Lithium Salt

On April 29th, Yongshan Lithium Industry Project with an annual output of 45000 tons in Yongshan Lithium Industry Park, Tongguan Industrial Park, Jingkai District, Wangcheng officially started, marking the addition of a new engine to the advanced energy storage materials industry in Changsha. Shanshan shares invested 2 billion to build an annual lithium salt project with an annual output of 45000 tons in Tongguan Industrial Park, Jingkai District, Wangcheng, with a land area of about 350mu, which will build a knowledge-intensive high-tech office R & D headquarters leading the global lithium industry. The first phase of the project will build a production capacity of 15000 tons of lithium hydroxide and 10,000 tons of lithium carbonate per year. After reaching production in the second phase, the annual output value is expected to reach 3.3 billion yuan and annual tax can reach 240 million yuan. The project will help Shanshan become an international supplier of lithium salt with high safety, high quality and low cost.

Yongxing material annual output of 10,000 tons of battery-grade lithium carbonate project enters trial production

At the end of March, Yongxing New Energy project with an annual output of 10,000 tons of battery-grade lithium carbonate completed the construction of the main body of the project and the installation and commissioning of equipment, and officially entered the stage of trial production; the project of high-efficiency mineral processing and comprehensive utilization of lithium ore of 1.2 million tons / year has also completed the construction of the main body of the project and equipment installation, and entered the stage of equipment commissioning. The basic completion of the project construction marks the formal formation of the company's "double main business" strategic layout.

As negociações de hidróxido de lítio foram escassas, com os preços em impasse perto de 142.000 yuans/tonelada.
