Tesla accelerates the expansion of super charging piles and opens them to other electric vehicles at the same time.

According to reports, Tesla CEO Elon Musk (Elon Musk) said on Twitter that Tesla Supercharger is being opened to other electric vehicles.

The news has been polarized in the field of electric vehicles, which some car owners believe may cause Tesla's consumers to lose the convenience of the Supercharger network. After all, the more electric cars that can use the Supercharger, the fewer charging piles that existing Tesla owners can use.

However, recent reports and the production expansion of Tesla Supercharger V3 show that these concerns are not a problem. Last month, Tesla was reportedly building a super charging pile factory near the Shanghai plant in China. The plant will be committed to the production of Supercharger V3 charging piles, with an estimated annual production capacity of about 10000. Like Tesla's other Chinese projects, the overcharged factory is working on Extreme Speed. At present, the plant is installing production equipment and HVAC systems, and the completion date may be earlier than expected in January 2021.

According to Tesla's website, the company currently operates 2000 Supercharger charging stations in the United States, Europe and Asia, with a total of more than 20000 Supercharger charging posts. If Tesla's Shanghai overcharging plant can meet its target of 10000 units a year, it will only take about two years to double its existing capacity, even without an increase in annual production in the future.

Of course, Tesla may soon build more overcharging factories, and the annual capacity of these factories may also increase over time. Tesla's New York superfactory is producing V3 charging piles, and it would not be surprising if Tesla built overcharging plants near the Berlin and Texas factories. If so, Tesla's quick charging system will spread all over the world.

The number of electric vehicles will certainly continue to increase in the coming years, especially in countries and regions such as Europe and Japan that plan to phase out internal combustion engine cars. Therefore, having such a large-scale fast charging system will not only become a key advantage, but also may become an additional source of profit for Tesla.
