According to reports, the billionaire Elon Musk (Elon Musk), CEO of Tesla (Tesla Inc.), told employees in the latest email that the company can still meet its milestone target of delivering 500000 electric vehicles in 2020, but it needs to "go all out".
As the end of the year approaches, Tesla's deadline for "handing in homework" is also coming to an end, with a goal of delivering a record number of 500000 cars for the whole of 2020. To reach the milestone, Tesla should deliver 181000 vehicles this quarter, more than 40, 000 more than the previous quarter's record, which barely reached the "pass line" last quarter. Therefore, there are also a lot of doubts in the market.
In the email, however, Musk seemed to think the goal was still achievable, inspiring employees to unite to achieve it and hitting skeptics in the face.
"Please go all out to achieve it (the above goal). This is a great milestone that embodies the achievements of the company. All the critics who said two years ago that we could not achieve this goal, recently said that it was "impossible" for us to achieve the 500000 production target by 2020. Leave them alone, we are on our way to achieve our goal! " He said.
Musk also said that special help will be provided at the end of the production line to ensure that cars now produced can be delivered immediately without further improvements to the PDI (pre-delivery inspection, that is, pre-factory inspection), because there is simply not enough time to do so.
In other words, with only a few days left in the quarter, Tesla can no longer expect to improve the efficiency of inspection, but hopes to use more manpower to increase production capacity.
