Another Ningde era matching pure electric cruise ship officially started the total battery capacity of more than 100 pure electric vehicles.

Recently, the pure electric cruise ship "Yangtze River three Gorges 1", the world's largest pure electric green commercial ship, has officially started, according to a news release from Ningde Times on December 24. The cruise ship is equipped with Ningde era power battery, with a total capacity of 7.5MWH, which is equivalent to the total battery capacity of more than 100 pure electric vehicles. It is a pure electric passenger ship with the largest battery capacity, the largest number of passengers and the highest level of intelligence designed and built in the world.

It is reported that "Yangtze River three Gorges 1" is a high-tech ship research and demonstration project of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and a traffic power pilot project of the Ministry of Transportation. It is jointly developed by Ningde Times, Yangtze River Power Co., Ltd., Yichang Jiaoyun Yangtze River Cruise Co., Ltd., Wuhan Yangtze River ship Design Institute Co., Ltd., Wuxi Seisyi Electric Technology Co., Ltd., and other units.

The ship, which is scheduled to be launched in July 2021 and put into operation in November 2021, will mainly operate on tourist routes such as two dams and one gorge, night excursions of the Yichang Yangtze River and the three Gorges ship lift, with functions such as meetings, receptions, wedding banquets and performances.

Ningde Times is the first power battery company in China to pass the certification of "Pure Battery ship Inspection Guide" (including battery, battery pack and battery management system) through the latest testing guide of (CCS) of China Classification Society.

The battery system of "Yangtze River three Gorges No. 1" is composed of more than 10,000 lithium iron phosphate cells with high safety in Ningde era, each of which is equipped with a temperature sensor, which can realize the function of cell temperature monitoring and high temperature alarm, and ensure the safety and reliability of the products in all directions.

The battery power system protection of the cruise ship fully takes into account the fault selectivity, a total of 15 independent battery power stations are equipped for separate charge and discharge of the whole ship, the battery system is arranged in four battery cabins, and additional backup battery power system is equipped to ensure all-round navigation power.

At the same time, the electric cruise ship is also the first electric ship in the world to adopt high-voltage charging and low-voltage power replenishment scheme, which solves the charging problem in high-power ports.

The battery network learned that, in addition to the "Yangtze River three Gorges 1", since 2019, the Ningde era has equipped power batteries for many electric ships, such as "Sea Patrol 12909", "Fish watching", Suzhou Gucheng River sightseeing cruise ship, "Deep Sea 01", "Great Bay area No. 1", "Minjiang Star", Pearl River cruise ship, "Zhifei", "Zhongshan University" and so on.

In addition, at present, the degree of global ship electrification is still relatively low, and the market scale is relatively small. However, with the stricter environmental protection policies of various countries, the trend of ship electrification is becoming increasingly prominent, and the scale of the global marine battery market will also usher in a significant increase.

In terms of policy, the Ministry of Transport issued the outline for the Development of Inland Shipping on June 4, which proposes to strengthen the promotion and application of new energy and clean energy. Promote LNG energy-saving and environment-friendly ships, explore the development of pure electric power, fuel cells and other power ships, study and promote the application of solar, wind and hydrogen energy in the industry, promote the use of shore electricity by ships in port, improve the construction of green service systems such as water green comprehensive service areas and liquefied natural gas filling terminals, and strengthen the application of port energy conservation and emission reduction technologies.

In terms of enterprises, in addition to the Ningde era, BYD, Yiwei Lithium Energy, Guoxuan Hi-Tech, Penghui Energy, Xingying Technology and Anchi Technology are all actively developing the electric ship market.
