China to adjust import tariffs on certain commodities from 2021

China will adjust the most favored nation (MFN) rate, conventional tariff and provisional tariff on some commodities from January 1, 2021, the Customs Tariff Commission of China’s State Council said on Wednesday December 23.

SHANGHAI, Dec 24 (SMM)—China will adjust the most favored nation (MFN) rate, conventional tariff and provisional tariff on some commodities from January 1, 2021, the Customs Tariff Commission of China’s State Council said on Wednesday December 23.

Tariffs for aluminium-related, copper-related, and rare earth-related products remained changed, while for unwrought refined lead, Singapore, a conventional tariff country in 2020, is replaced by Mauritius in 2021 version, and for ignition lead-acid battery and other lead-acid batteries, conventional tariff countries South Korea and Georgia have been deleted in the 2021 version.
