It took 21 years for Chery Group to officially sell 9 million vehicles.

A few days ago, Chery officially announced that with the listing of Erize 5 PLUS, the company's cumulative sales reached 9 million vehicles, and it took 21 years to achieve the above achievement. On December 18, 1999, Chery's first car, Fengyun, was officially off the line, and 21 years later, Chery Group has grown from a single model to a large automobile group with wholly owned Chery cars and Chery commercial vehicles, as well as more than 10 automobile manufacturing enterprises such as Chery Jaguar Land Rover and Kaiyi.

In terms of market performance, the most outstanding model under the Chery brand is the Ruihu 8 series, with cumulative sales of nearly 300000 vehicles in the two years on the market, of which the cumulative sales reached 114000 from January to November 2020, an increase of 11.4% over the same period last year. On the other hand, the Jetway product series has achieved cumulative sales of more than 250000 vehicles since the first model was launched on August 18, 2018.

In the joint venture sector, Chery Jaguar Land Rover also achieved a year-on-year increase in sales in 2020, when the market environment was quite unstable. From January to November 2020, Chery Jaguar Land Rover sold 52000 vehicles, up 9.2 per cent from a year earlier, according to the Federation of passengers. Of this total, Jaguar sold 18000 vehicles, up 5.7 per cent from a year earlier, while Land Rover sold 34000 vehicles, up 11.1 per cent from a year earlier.

In the field of internationalization, Chery has established six major R & D bases, 10 overseas factories and more than 1500 overseas dealers and service outlets around the world, with a total overseas production capacity of 200000 units per year. 2020 is the 20th year of Chery Group's overseas exports, and the number of overseas users has exceeded 1.7 million, ranking first in the export of Chinese-branded passenger cars for 17 years in a row.
