Today, the M8 project is officially put into production, which sets another benchmark for the global integrated circuit project construction, pushes the cooperation and development of SK Hynix and Wuxi to a new height, and also marks a new step in the development of Wuxi integrated circuit industry.

M8 project refers to the 8-inch non-storage wafer project jointly invested by Haichen Semiconductor (Wuxi) Co., Ltd. and SK Hynix Systems Integrated Circuit (Wuxi) Co., Ltd. After the project is put into production, it will produce 115000 8-inch wafers per month, which is much higher than the average monthly production of 50, 000 wafers produced by other enterprises at home and abroad.

At present, with the outbreak of global demand for 8-inch wafers, the M8 project has scarce high-performance 8-inch equipment and first-class technology, which can produce 57nm-500nm different products, which will help to alleviate the current domestic 8-inch wafer production capacity shortage and short supply, and promote the stable and orderly development of the domestic IC design industry.
