Operating rates at lead-acid battery makers unchanged at 74.43%

Operating rates across lead-acid battery producers in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hubei and Hebei provinces averaged 74.43% in the week ended December 11, unchanged week on week.

SHANGHAI, Dec 11 (SMM) – Operating rates across lead-acid battery producers in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hubei and Hebei provinces averaged 74.43% in the week ended December 11, unchanged from a week ago.  

Consumption of lead-acid batteries failed to improve significantly this week, and large-scale battery makers kept stable production at the end of the year. Some e-bike battery producers did not further adjust production after they had cut output at the start of the month, while some automotive battery makers continued to operate at full capacity.
