China NEV output and sales to rise further in December

China produced 198,000 new energy vehicle (NEV) and sold 200,000 in November, jumping 75.1% and 104.9% year on year respectively, according to data from China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

SHANGHAI, Dec 11 (SMM)—China produced 198,000 new energy vehicle (NEV) and sold 200,000 in November, jumping 75.1% and 104.9% year on year respectively, according to data from China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). For January-November, NEV output totalled 1.12 million units, down 0.1% on the year, while sales totalled 1.11 million units, up 3.9% from a year ago.

NEV output and sales are likely to rise further in December according to production plans of major automakers, and 2020 sales are expected to reach 1.3 million units.
