At present, this project is the only high-grade non-oriented silicon steel professional production line completely facing the new energy automobile industry in the world.
A ferrosilicon alloy with very low carbon content in non-oriented silicon steel. The grains of the deformed and annealed steel plates show irregular orientation distribution. The silicon content of the alloy is 1.5%-3.0%, or the sum of silicon-aluminum content is 1.8%-4.0%. The products are usually cold-rolled plate or strip with a nominal thickness of 0.35 and 0.5mm and are mainly used in the manufacture of motors and generators.
It is reported that the construction content of the Baosteel non-oriented silicon steel product structure optimization project includes a normalizing pickling unit with the highest speed in the industry, a small roll diameter six-high six-stand continuous rolling mill, two high-efficiency annealing coating units and other auxiliary production lines and energy public auxiliary equipment, with a designed annual production capacity of 500000 tons and a total investment of 2.72 billion yuan, which is expected to be completed and put into production in March 2023.
The project adopts a number of subversive designs and technologies, subverts the traditional non-oriented high brand and adopts single-stand rolling mode, and independently develops the rolling process and equipment technology of continuous rolling mill, which greatly improves the production efficiency and leads the world in product and technology level. After the project is put into production, it will solve the problem that the supply of high-grade non-oriented silicon steel in the new energy automobile industry falls short of demand, and strongly support the implementation of the national new energy strategy.
When completed and put into production, the project will provide high-grade timber for 4 million new energy vehicles each year, reducing carbon emissions by 3.6 million tons, equivalent to the absorption of 330000 hectares of forest. Among them, the production capacity of high-grade non-oriented silicon steel will reach 1 million tons / year, ranking first in the world.
