[EU countervailing investigation on Chinese aluminum conversion foil products officially filed] on December 4, 2020, the European Union launched a countervailing investigation on aluminum conversion foil products made in China. The European Commission says it will investigate whether Chinese exporters receive trade-distorting government aid. The European Commission said in an official statement that the investigation was due to a complaint about subsidies filed by six EU manufacturers on October 21, which account for more than half of the EU's production of the product.

SMM12, March 7: according to Bloomberg news, on December 4, 2020, the European Union launched a countervailing investigation on aluminum conversion foil products made in China. The European Commission says it will investigate whether Chinese exporters receive trade-distorting government aid. The European Commission said in an official statement that the investigation was due to a complaint about subsidies filed by six EU manufacturers on October 21, which account for more than half of the EU's production of the product.

Prior to this, on October 22, 2020, the European Commission announced that in response to an application submitted by six EU manufacturers on behalf of six EU manufacturers that accounted for more than 50% of the total output of similar products in the EU on September 8, 2020, the European Commission launched an anti-dumping investigation on (Aluminium Converter Foil), an aluminum conversion foil product originating in China. The EU CN (Combined Nomenclature) involved in the case is ex 7607 11 19 (TARIC code 7607 11 19 60 and 7607 11 19 91). The dumping and injury investigation period in this case is from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020, and the damage analysis period is from January 1, 2017 to the end of the dumping and injury investigation period.
