SMM News: according to the news released by the Consumer goods Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, from January to October 2020, among the main products of the national battery manufacturing industry, the output of lithium-ion batteries was 14.64 billion, an increase of 10.9 percent over the same period last year; the output of lead-acid batteries was 182.047 million kilovolt amperes, an increase of 15.3 percent over the same period last year; and the output of primary batteries and primary battery packs (non-buckle type) was 33.05 billion, down 0.8 percent from the same period last year.

In October, the national output of lithium-ion batteries was 1.97 billion, an increase of 29.8 percent over the same period last year; the output of lead-acid batteries was 21.242 million kilovolts, an increase of 19.3 percent over the same period last year; and the output of primary batteries and primary battery packs (non-buckle type) was 3.73 billion, an increase of 3.0 percent over the same period last year.

In terms of benefits, from January to October 2020, the operating income of battery manufacturing enterprises above the national scale was 611.98 billion yuan, down 3.0% from the same period last year, and the total profit was 31.52 billion yuan, an increase of 12.3% over the same period last year.
