SMM11, March 27 (Xinhua)-- Albemarle, the world's largest lithium producer, has partnered with 27 other institutions to form a U.S.-based alliance to achieve 100% sales of electric vehicles by 2030.
The organization, known as ZETA, has 28 founding members, including ABB, Con Edison, Duke Energy, Pacific Gas and Electric, Rivian, Salt River, Tesla, Uber and Volta.
ZETA will advocate national policy so that electric vehicles can be fully adopted in the light, medium and heavy vehicle industries by 2030. The group believes this will help create new jobs, ensure the United States' leading position in the global electric car industry, and significantly reduce carbon pollution.
