SMM News: in order to actively meet the market demand and enhance the strategic deployment of product differentiation, the aluminum alloy business department, combined with the reality of the market and equipment, continues to develop new products and actively practice the new mission of "updating alloys for a lighter and greener world". This year, the mechanical properties of ALSi10Mg, A356, 702A and other alloy products have been improved successively. On the basis of summarizing the production process and technology, AlSiCu series high-strength 319Z.3 aluminum alloy products for pistons have been trial-produced with phased success, filling in the blank of high-Cu aluminum alloy products and laying the foundation for the development of multi-component high-end alloy products.

As customers have high requirements for pinholes of 319Z.3 alloy products, and it is extremely difficult to control them in the casting process, since receiving the market order, the professional and technical staff of the alloy division have repeatedly demonstrated the feasibility of trial production equipment and process, and worked out a detailed trial production plan in early November, after multi-party discussion and revision, to ensure the success of ALSiCu trial production at one time.

During the trial production, the production technicians follow up and guide the production throughout the process and record the process parameters. The low power pinholes of the three heats of products are all above the second grade, which fills the blank of low magnification and low pinhole of high Cu alloy products.

Based on high-quality development, the alloy business department takes the development of new products as an opportunity to transform and upgrade the structure of alloy products. In the later stage, we will continue to carry out the research on the use of the first batch of products, improve the operation instructions and implement the follow-up production.

Fed to Keep Large Banks' Capital Levels Unchanged, Postpones Stress Test Reforms Until 2027
The US Fed has announced that it will maintain the capital levels of large banks unchanged during the upcoming stress test cycle (corresponding to the 2026 cycle). At the same time, the US Fed is planning multidimensional reforms to this annual test, aiming to enhance its transparency. The US Fed's Vice Chair for Supervision, Bowman, revealed that adjustments to the stress capital buffer requirements for large banks will be postponed until 2027. This move is intended to provide the US Fed with sufficient time to evaluate potential flaws that may be exposed in its testing models when assessing banks' financial conditions under simulated economic downturn scenarios.
