SHANGHAI, Nov 20 (SMM) – Operating rates across lead-acid battery producers in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hubei and Hebei provinces averaged 74.59% in the week ended November 20, unchanged from the previous week.
As end-user consumption held largely unchanged on the week, battery makers kept relatively stable production, with large-scale automotive battery producers and energy storage battery makers keeping relatively high operating rates. Snowstorms occurred in Inner Mongolia and Heilongjiang this week, and SMM will continue to keep an eye on the effects of the cold weather on battery consumption in the near term.
