SMM: in September 2020, the total output of the scroll compressor industry was 261200, down 16.28% from the same period last year, up 15.27% from the previous month; total sales were 260500, down 15.51% from the same period last year, up 14.19% from the previous month; domestic sales were 222000, down 15.27% from the same period last year, up 15.20% from the previous month; The export volume was 38500, down 16.87 per cent from the same period last year and up 8.69 per cent from the previous month. From January to September 2020, the cumulative production of scroll compressors in the industry was 2.0196 million units, down 22.45% from the same period last year, and the cumulative sales volume was 2.0185 million units, down 22.52% from the same period last year.
The scroll compressor industry as a whole continued to decline in September, with year-on-year decline in production and sales narrowing compared with August, still falling by more than 15%, with double-digit growth on a month-on-month basis. The performance of the export market within this month is relatively low, among which, the domestic market, affected by the dual impact of competitive substitution of double-rotor products and weakening downstream demand, has declined for three consecutive quarters compared with the same period last year. At present, the decline is still the same in the fourth quarter; the export market has also continued to show a certain degree of correction under the influence of the overseas epidemic. From the perspective of downstream applications, the household air conditioning market was relatively stable in September, and production and sales continued to show low-digit growth. On the production side, with the gradual commissioning of the new energy efficiency product line, the production rhythm basically returned to normal; from the sales side, the domestic market entered the off-season, the domestic sales performance of household air conditioners was mediocre, and the export market benefited from the launch of production orders from overseas North America, showing a large increase. In terms of commercial air conditioners, the industry as a whole achieved restorative growth in September, which was significantly larger than that of the previous month. Among them, the domestic market performed better, with a growth rate of more than 10%, while the export market showed a low-digit decline. From the perspective of subdivided application market, the market of home decoration and medium and large-scale engineering projects has continued to recover, achieving a large increase compared with the same period last year. In terms of sub-products, the market performance of multi-on-line and centrifuges and household water machines is relatively good, which is obviously better than other subdivided products.
On the export side, the export volume of scroll compressors in September was 38500, down 16.87% from the same period last year; mainstream scroll compressor enterprises have declined to varying degrees.
