SMM: news from Baoneng Automobile shows that on November 8th, Baoneng Automobile Group Xi'an Base Green Wisdom Factory was officially completed, and the independent research and development of the first car of the new energy xEV platform and Baoneng added program electric vehicle (REV) also went offline on the same day.

It is reported that the base is positioned as a high-end intelligent manufacturing base of Baoneng Automobile Group, with a total planned production capacity of 1 million vehicles and a first phase of 500000 vehicles, of which the first phase of the first phase is planned to produce 300000 vehicles. The base includes four main workshops: stamping, welding, painting and final assembly, as well as PACK workshop, joint station, sewage treatment station, production management center, staff canteen, shift dormitory and other ancillary facilities. After Xi'an base was completed and put into production, it has become the third vehicle manufacturing base of Baoneng Automobile Group after Jiangsu Changshu Guanzhi manufacturing base and Shenzhen Baoneng automobile manufacturing base (formerly Changan PSA manufacturing base), and it is also the first vehicle manufacturing base built and put into production by Baoneng.

The first car and Baoneng added program electric (REV) model developed based on the xEV platform is offline, which also means that Baoneng Automobile Group's investment in independent technology research and development has begun to enter a payback period. The two-way results of manufacturing and research and development, coupled with the previously arranged travel services, make the layout of Baoneng Automobile Group's "complete vehicle + spare parts + travel service" industry chain clear.

Data show that Baoneng Automobile Group strategically invested in Guanzhi Automobile at the end of 2017. Thanks to Baoneng's ability in capital, management and multi-industry form, Quan Zhi Automobile is reborn, successively launching Quan Zhi 5S and Quan Zhi 5S Dark Hero Edition, as well as the brand new model "Ark Class SUV" Guanzhi 7; Baoneng Automobile Group is planning high-end car brands, and a number of models are under intense development. In terms of vehicle manufacturing, Baoneng already has three production bases that have been put into production: Jiangsu Changshu Guanzhi Manufacturing Base, Shenzhen Baoneng Automobile Manufacturing Base (formerly Changan PSA Manufacturing Base), and Xi'an New Energy Manufacturing Base. Guangzhou, Guiyang, Kunming, Kunshan and other key regional production bases will also be built and put into production one after another. In terms of vehicle R & D, Baoneng Automotive Group has implemented the 1ChN model (one global R & D headquarters (Shenzhen Research Institute)-Xi'an Research Institute, Guangzhou Research Institute, Shenzhen Research Institute, Shanghai (Guanzhi) Research Institute, etc.), and has developed three major platforms and dozens of products under development, covering cars, SUV, MPV and other vehicle models.

According to the plan, Qoros, owned by Baoneng Automobile Group, will continue to promote the development path of "simultaneous development of oil and electricity". Starting from Guanzhi 7, it will maintain the pace of launching at least two new models a year, and achieve the coverage of cars, SUV and MPV, from traditional fuel vehicles to new energy models and from A0 to B-class models by 2025. In addition, Baoneng Automobile Group is planning a new high-end car brand, which will be positioned higher than Qoros.

Tozero Launches Industrial Demo Plant to Recover Lithium from Waste Batteries
German company, Tozero, announced on March 27 (local time) the official launch of its industrial-scale demonstration plant. The company has built a facility at the Gendorf chemical park in Bavaria, Germany, capable of processing more than 1,500 tons of waste batteries annually. The process enables the recovery of lithium carbonate, graphite, and nickel-cobalt mixtures from spent batteries for reuse as battery raw materials. The plant is expected to recycle resources equivalent to batteries from approximately 6,000 electric vehicles per year, reducing reliance on landfill disposal.
