Primary lead smelters operating rates rose to 58.9% this week

Operating rates across primary lead smelters in Henan, Hunan and Yunnan provinces rose 0.8 percentage point on the week to 58.9% in the week ended October 30, showed an SMM survey.

SHANGHAI, Oct 30 (SMM) ― Operating rates across primary lead smelters in Henan, Hunan and Yunnan provinces rose 0.8 percentage point from the prior week to 58.9% in the week ended October 30, showed an SMM survey.

 

The average operating rate gained 1.5 percentage points to 78.4% in Henan, remained unchanged at 37.6% in Hunan, and fell to 41.9% in Yunnan.

 

Henan Shibin smelter raised scheduled production this week, while Yuteng and Jingui will not resume production currently. Xinjiang Hengchang plans to restore production after suspending for six months, with monthly output at about 2,000 mt.

After the accident, the company received the "Notice on Ordering the Fankou Lead-Zinc Mine to Suspend Production" issued by the Shaoguan Emergency Management Bureau, and the Fankou lead-zinc mine suspended production in accordance with the notice.
