Kaiyi said that the company is currently developing new energy models based on fuel vehicle platforms, including an A0 class pure electric SUV, a class A pure electric car, and a medium-sized plug-in hybrid SUV; will launch the development of a new energy dedicated platform at the end of this year. The platform is a new modular intelligent pure electric vehicle platform, which can cover A0 ~ B-class models and be compatible with SUV, MPV and cars at the same time. In addition, the development of AOO-class models with high performance-to-price ratio will be launched early next year. Kaiyi car is a relatively weak brand, the main user group is on the low end. At present, the competition in the middle and high-end market is very fierce, if there is no strong brand support and technical precipitation, it is difficult to rely on traditional fuel vehicles to break through to the high-end market. However, new energy vehicles are in a period of rapid development, high-end and low-end are relatively easy to enter. If Kaiyi can make sustained and key investment in the field of new energy vehicles, it may have the opportunity to enter the high-end market.

In terms of power batteries, Kaiyi has established a deep cooperative relationship with CATL, a leader in the power battery industry, and Kaiyi will focus on in-depth research on battery system integration applications. Kaiyi will adopt battery systems with different material systems according to different models and markets. The pursuit of cost-effective public vehicles and A00-class cars will focus on the use of lithium iron phosphate batteries; the pursuit of long-range, high-performance private cars will focus on the use of ternary batteries. With regard to power battery recycling, Kaiyi has not yet established a perfect recycling channel, mainly by battery system suppliers. The business model of echelon utilization of the whole industry is not clear enough.
