It is reported that Midea invests no less than 500 million yuan in training every year to build a professional ability and leadership training system at all levels. There are 28 research centers in 11 countries, including China: at home, the Global Innovation Center of Shunde headquarters and the planned Shanghai Global Innovation Park are taken as the core. Overseas are mainly American R & D centers, German R & D centers, Japanese R & D centers and Milan design centers in Italy.

In March this year, Midea invested 5 billion yuan to build a global innovation park in Shanghai. The project is located in Shanghai's Hongqiao Business District, near National Exhibition and Convention Center, with a total land area of about 120mu and a construction area of 360000 square meters. According to the plan, Midea will introduce the plan into the R & D plate in nine areas, including industrial Internet, intelligent manufacturing and logistics, and continue to focus on the innovation and application development of basic technology, artificial intelligence, user research and intelligent supply chain.
