SMM Network: in accordance with the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) unsealing decree requirements, Comica Mining simple Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Comica Company") partially lifted the closure on August 6. On the premise of doing a good job in the regular prevention and control of the epidemic, Komeka Company has formulated the guiding plan of "one factory, one policy", making full use of the favorable environment of stable power supply, organizing production and operation efficiently, and the first and second stages of production go hand in hand and blossom on two lines.
The first-phase concentrator overcomes the challenges of difficult management and cross-operation of the staff after the unsealing of the plant area, innovates the production organization mode, ensures the safe and stable operation of the equipment, and achieves the highest monthly metal output and index since it was put into operation. In that month, 96000 tons of ore were processed, 6540 tons of copper-cobalt concentrate, 1450 tons of copper metal and 1450 tons of cobalt metal were produced.
The second-phase smelter overcame the challenges of construction while production, closed training and production of new employees of Zhonggang, and the copper system reached production in the same month when it was put into operation. The main production technical indicators were better than the design targets. In August, the pilot production and processing ore capacity was 102000 tons, the copper production was 2020 tons, and the copper leaching rate reached 97%.
Comica achieved good results in a single month, which greatly boosted the confidence of project operation under the epidemic. Under the situation of regular epidemic prevention and control and the unsealing of mining areas, and with the correct leadership and strong support of higher-level units, Comica will continue to co-ordinate dual-front operations, steadily promote project production and construction, and strive to complete various tasks of the year.
