






SMM News: in order to promote the collaborative innovation of the whole industry chain, such as beryllium resources development, smelting, processing, manufacturing and application in China, strengthen the combination of scientific research and industry, enhance the ability of industrial technological innovation, and promote the high-quality development of China's beryllium industry, on October 10, it was led by China Color (Ningxia) Oriental Group Co., Ltd., and Ningxia Co., Ltd., Northwest rare Metal Research Institute. The founding meeting of China's beryllium industry technological innovation strategic alliance undertaken by the State key Laboratory of rare Metal Special Materials was held in Yinchuan, Ningxia, marking the establishment of China's first rare metal beryllium industry strategic alliance.
The meeting read out the "report on preparations for the Establishment of the Alliance" and voted and adopted the "articles of Association of China Beryllium Industry technological Innovation Strategic Alliance" and "Election measures for China Beryllium Industry technological Innovation Strategic Alliance". The first council chairman, vice-chairman unit, chairman, vice-chairman and secretary-general of the alliance were elected. Wang Dongxin, deputy general manager of China Color (Ningxia) Oriental Group Co., Ltd. and deputy director of the State key Laboratory of rare Metal Special Materials, was elected chairman of the first Council of the Alliance.
Zhang Hongguo, deputy secretary general of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and director of the Ministry of Science and Technology, read out the reply on agreeing to establish a strategic alliance for technological innovation of China's beryllium industry. Tu Hailing and Xie Jianxin, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Zhang Jinjun, deputy general manager of China Nonferrous Mining Group Co., Ltd., and Zhang Hongguo jointly unveiled the "Strategic Alliance for technological Innovation of China's Beryllium Industry".

More than 100 experts, scholars and enterprise representatives from beryllium resources, smelting and manufacturing related scientific research institutes and application units, including members of the academic Committee of the State key Laboratory of rare Metal Special Materials, attended the founding meeting. Li Chunguang, chairman of China Color (Ningxia) Oriental Group Co., Ltd., presided over the opening ceremony.
Zhang Jinjun pointed out in his speech that beryllium metal has an irreplaceable position and role in the development of national defense, military industry and national economy. the establishment of China's beryllium industry technological innovation strategic alliance will be a concrete embodiment of General Secretary Xi Jinping's thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, and it is also an inevitable requirement to enhance the technological innovation capability of beryllium industry and promote the high-quality development of China's beryllium industry. It is also an important choice to give full play to the advantages of all parties in the industry and achieve win-win development. He hopes that all member units of the alliance will take this as a new starting point, integrate and coordinate the resources of all parties, strengthen cooperation in scientific and technological innovation, and implement the cooperation model of joint development, complementary advantages, benefit-sharing and risk-sharing, so as to promote the high-quality development of China's beryllium industry. As the lead enterprise of the alliance, China Nonferrous Group will give full play to the influence, competitiveness and radiation of China Color (Ningxia) Oriental in the industry, cooperate and cooperate vigorously with various alliance units. we will promote the alliance to make due contributions to ensuring the security of resources and building a scientific and technological power.
In his speech, he Jilin put forward three suggestions for the establishment of the alliance. First, he suggested that the alliance should establish an effective cooperative innovation mechanism among enterprises, scientific research institutions, and universities in the upstream and downstream of the rare metal beryllium industry, give full play to the advantages of cooperation, jointly overcome the basic problems and common, key, and core technical problems restricting the development of the beryllium industry, and promote the technological progress and high-quality development of the beryllium industry. To realize the deep integrated development of beryllium industry; Second, during the 14th five-year Plan period, the standard world-class technology, new technologies for smelting rare metal beryllium with short process, low cost and high efficiency, high purity preparation technology, waste recovery and comprehensive recycling and efficient utilization technology were carried out to accelerate the research and development and application of beryllium and beryllium alloys, so as to make greater contributions to the development of aerospace, nuclear power and other fields in China. The third is to speed up the action plan to supplement the weaknesses of the new materials industry, and strive to launch and implement the project to enhance the ability of industrial innovation. Relying on the superior industry-university-research units in the cluster, we will jointly establish a number of state-level high-quality industrial development and innovation platforms, such as "engineering research centers, technological innovation centers, collaborative innovation centers, and industrial research institutes." At the same time, actively conspire to enter the national action plan for the implementation of new materials innovation, development and promotion project, and make use of national policy support to speed up the innovation progress and development in the field of rare metal beryllium industry.
In his speech, Ma Lin first congratulated the establishment of the alliance and briefly introduced the basic situation of the development of industry and new materials in Ningxia. He said that Ningxia, which is rich in coal resources, is a national strategic base for transmitting electricity from west to east and one of the 10 million kilowatt power bases, providing a powerful power engine for the development of Ningxia industry. China Color (Ningxia) Oriental Group, as the largest R & D and production base of high-end materials such as tantalum, niobium and beryllium, is one of the top three enterprises in the world tantalum, niobium and beryllium industry, which provides an important guarantee for the development of national strategic materials. At the same time, although the rare metal material industry in Ningxia has a good foundation, there is still a certain gap in the production scale compared with other industries in other provinces. It is hoped that after the establishment of the alliance, we can vigorously cooperate and implement it, promote the development of the rare metal industry in Ningxia, expand and strengthen the industrial chain, constantly enhance the level of industrial intelligence, improve the scientific and technological content and quality of products, and contribute to the development of important strategic areas of the country.
As the first chairman of the alliance, Wang Dongxin said at the meeting that the technological innovation strategic alliance of China's beryllium industry brings together relevant enterprises, scientific research institutes and institutions of higher learning related to the development, smelting, processing, and application of resources in China's beryllium industry chain, involving aerospace, aviation, warships, and other application fields, and will realize the development path of small core, great cooperation, specialization and integration. Coordinate the scientific and technological resources of China's rare metal beryllium industry related to "production, learning, research, education and utilization", strengthen cooperation in scientific and technological innovation at home and abroad, and promote technological progress and high-quality development of the beryllium industry. He proposed that the next step will promote the alliance to become a coordinator to serve the development needs of member units, as well as a booster to promote the high-quality development of the beryllium industry, and strive to build the industrial alliance into an open exchange and industrial integration, leading the platform for development and the carrier of gathering resources, equality and mutual benefit, cooperation and co-construction, so as to realize the technological innovation of the beryllium industry and the common development and progress of the alliance members. We will promote the construction of the industrial system and the construction of innovative enterprises, and jointly build the road of modern and high-quality development of the beryllium industry.
At the same time, the third Symposium on technological Development and Application of Beryllium Industry and the fourth academic Committee meeting of the State key Laboratory of rare Metal Special Materials were held at the same time. Nearly 20 beryllium industry experts and scholars and enterprise representatives have made academic reports on the technology and application of beryllium industry, involving the research and development of beryllium aluminum alloy, the application of beryllium materials in inertial devices, high-performance optoelectronic equipment, production recovery and purification process research, precision processing progress and so on.
Tu Hailing, he Jilin, Xie Jianxin, Huang Siming and others attended the fourth academic committee meeting of the State key Laboratory of rare Metal Special Materials. At the meeting, Huang Siming affirmed the important role played by the state key laboratories in the Ningxia Autonomous region and the whole country. Zhong Jingming, director of the State key Laboratory of rare Metal Special Materials, made the Operation report of the key Laboratory from 2019 to 2020 and the relevant research report of the State key Laboratory. Academicians and experts attending the meeting evaluated the work of the laboratory in 2020 according to the operation of the state key laboratory, and discussed the development direction of the laboratory and the core contents of the 14th five-year Plan.
