Inventories of refined nickel in the Shanghai bonded areas remained unchanged from September 30 and stood at 22,800 mt as of October 9, showed SMM data.

SHANGHAI, Oct 9 (SMM) – Inventories of refined nickel in the Shanghai bonded areas remained unchanged from September 30 and stood at 22,800 mt as of October 9, showed SMM data.

The import window remained closed before the National Day holidays, and the bonded area suspended operation during the National Day holidays. Foreign traders were less willing to ship goods to bonded warehouses. This accounted for the stable situation in the nickel bonded stocks this week.
