SMM: from September 21 to 22, Xia Xiaoou, secretary of the party committee and chairman of the board of directors of the Mining and Metallurgical Group, and Wang Weidong, deputy secretary of the party committee, went to Qiqihar, Heilongjiang, to pay a return visit to the Zijin Mining Copper smelting project designed by the Mining and Metallurgical Group, and had an in-depth exchange with Chen Chengghu, executive vice president of Heilongjiang Zijin Copper Co., Ltd., and Li Tianyu, vice president of production, on the progress of the project and future cooperation.
Xia Xiaoou, Wang Weidong and his entourage first received safety education and signed a safety commitment in the office area of the project. Then, under the guidance of Chen Chenghu and Li Tianyu, they visited the production center control operation room, smelting workshop, electrolysis workshop, slag flotation workshop, sulphuric acid workshop, etc., with emphasis on the side-blown copper smelting furnace independently designed by Metallurgy and the flotation equipment of the mechanical and electrical company. The pipeline design in the plant area is optimized and reasonable, the workshop is compact, the production index is good, and the emission is low. The side blowing copper smelting equipment and process effectively solve the problems such as nodule in the furnace wall of the traditional copper smelting process.
Xia Xiaoou fully affirmed the project team, design scheme and production operation effect, and pointed out that the implementation effect of the project undertaken by the Mining and Metallurgical Group was good, which was well received by Zijin Group. Xia Xiaoou stressed that the project team should continue to do a good job in engineering services, continue to do a good job in the follow-up transformation work, create a model project for copper smelting in Mining and Metallurgical Group, and achieve win-win development with customers.
Chen Chenghu and Li Tianyu summarized the design innovation of the project in the overall process and core equipment, as well as the innovative achievements in green metallurgy, intelligent metallurgy and so on. The owner expressed satisfaction with the operation of the smelter since it was put into operation, recognized and appreciated the design innovation concept and capability of the Mining and Metallurgical Group, and hoped that the Mining and Metallurgical Group would continue to provide strong technical support for the follow-up development of Heilongjiang Zijin Copper Industry.
Heilongjiang Zijin Copper Co., Ltd. has a total investment of about 4 billion, and its main product is cathode copper with an output of 150000 tons per year. The project adopts the world's first production process of "clean and efficient full hot state triple furnace intelligent continuous copper smelting" designed by the group independently, and the core equipment adopts the third generation intelligent oxygen-rich double-side blowing furnace independently developed by the group. It has many bright points, such as advanced technology and equipment, high level of automation and intelligence, small number of operators, high operation rate of all hot continuous feeding, low energy consumption per ton of copper and low cost of cold copper treatment, high comprehensive recovery of valuable metals, low copper content in tailings, and so on. The project was put into production in September 2019, and all the indicators have exceeded the design value so far, and have created an industry benchmark in terms of automation and intelligence, reaching the leading level at home and abroad, which has been unanimously affirmed by the owners and their counterparts at home and abroad. The project is expected to be profitable this year.
