SMM9: Australian lithium mining company Piedmont Lithium said it has signed an agreement with American electric carmaker Tesla to supply spodumene concentrate to its North Carolina plant for an initial period of five years.
Under the agreement, Tesla will receive about 1/3 of the 160000 tons of spodumene concentrate that Piedmont plans to mine in each of the first five years.
