China's cobalt raw materials imports expanded in August

Customs data showed that China imported 9,253 mt (Co content) of cobalt raw materials in August, increasing 10% from July and rising 3% from a year earlier.

SHANGHAI, Sep 28 (SMM) — Customs data showed that China imported 9,253 mt (Co content) of cobalt raw materials in August, increasing 10% from July and rising 3% from a year earlier.

 

Imports of intermediate products of cobalt hydro-metallurgy came in at 7,700 mt (Co content) in August, up 2% month on month and up 1% year on year.

 

Imports of cobalt ore stood at 425 mt (Co content) in August, decreasing 15% on the month, but falling 62% on the year.

 

Imports of unwrought cobalt stood at 1,128 mt (Co content) in August, surging 425% from July and soaring 420% from a year earlier.
