The new energy vehicle factory, located in Anting, Shanghai, is the latest achievement of deepening cooperation between SAIC and Volkswagen, and an important milestone in SAIC-Volkswagen's future-oriented and 2025 strategy.

It is understood that the total investment of the new plant project is about 17 billion yuan, with a planned annual production capacity of 300000 vehicles, which is currently the largest and most efficient pure electric vehicle factory in China.

In the future, the new factory will also put into production a new generation of pure electric vehicles from many brands of Volkswagen Group.
