Us Secretary of State: willing to provide technical support for mining development in Colombia

Recently, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced that his office will launch a program to provide technical support for mining development in Colombia.

SMM9, March 21 / PRNewswire-FirstCall-Asianet /-- U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo recently announced that his office will launch a program to provide technical support for mining development in Colombia.

During a visit to South Africa, Mike Pompeo said the proposal would be jointly developed by the EGCI (the Department of State's Energy Governance and Capacity Initiative) department.

, Mike Pompeo told the Colombian president at a news conference on Saturday that the two sides will work together to build an open and fair bilateral relationship and to create a good investment environment and transparent industry rules.

Once the epidemic is over, Colombia will have 33 mining and energy projects waiting to start, which are expected to create more than 50, 000 jobs and generate about $9.6 million in investment.
