Component manufacturers said frankly: "the current price of photovoltaic modules is only stable, it is very difficult to go down."

With the stabilization of prices, photovoltaic power plant projects have started one after another, including Datang, Huadian, China Nuclear Power, three Gorges, and other power plant owners have opened a tender for EPC projects on the scale of 8GW. Judging from the time limit planned in the bidding documents of each project, the construction period of most projects is set to start by the end of August, full capacity will be realized by the end of November, and more than 90% of the projects are required to be connected to the grid by the end of this year.

According to the requirements of the National Energy Administration, bidding projects in 2020 should be connected to the grid at full capacity by the end of this year. For those who are not fully connected within the time limit, the electricity price subsidy will be reduced by 0.01 yuan per kilowatt-hour for each overdue quarter, and those who have not been completed within two quarters will be disqualified for project subsidy.

According to incomplete statistics, the scale of photovoltaic power stations that have publicly announced the start of construction since July exceeds 4.6GW. Among the super-4.6GW projects under construction, 3.7 GW is planned to be completed by the end of this year, accounting for more than 80%.

However, due to the high price of photovoltaic modules, some companies have to change their proposed project plans. In August, China Energy Saving Solar asked investors about the impact of the price increase on the company's projects under construction, saying that the component purchase contract had been signed for the project under construction, so the price increase would not affect the project construction. however, the proposed project will carefully measure the rate of return according to market conditions, and construction will start only if the company's rate of return can be met.

Based on the development pattern dominated by central enterprises, analysts are mostly optimistic about the scale of grid connection at the end of the year, and do not rule out the choice of wait-and-see or postponement of some projects under the tide of rising prices, but most of the projects of central enterprises are more likely to be connected to the grid before the end of the year, and Q4 may reappear the rush-to-install drama of super-10GW.
