[the world's largest desert centralized photovoltaic base is about to be connected to the grid] China Construction Power Construction Co., Ltd. said on the 13th that the No. 1 project of the photovoltaic power generation award base in Dalat Banner, Inner Mongolia, undertaken by its subsidiary China Construction Central Engineering Co., Ltd., was successfully completed. This means that the world's largest desert centralized photovoltaic base is about to be connected to the grid.

SMM News: China Construction Power Construction Co., Ltd. said on the 13th that the No. 1 project of photovoltaic power generation leading award base in Dalat Banner, Inner Mongolia, undertaken by its subsidiary China Construction Central Engineering Co., Ltd., was successfully completed. This means that the world's largest desert centralized photovoltaic base is about to be connected to the grid.

It is reported that the project is undertaken by China Construction Central Engineering Co., Ltd. through the EPC general contract project. The installed capacity of the project is 69.03MW, which will be connected with the first phase of the photovoltaic power station in the base after completion, covering an area of about 1.2 million square meters, with an annual generating capacity of 2 billion kilowatt-hours and an output value of 620 million yuan. It will become the largest desert concentrated photovoltaic power station in the world.

As the national photovoltaic power generation leading incentive base, the project continues to optimize and improve the construction technology and power generation technology, always maintains the leading level of the industry, can improve the power generation efficiency by 15%, and promote the scientific and technological development of the new energy industry in Inner Mongolia.

Yu Haowei, deputy general manager of the New Energy Division of China Construction Central Engineering Co., Ltd., and project manager of Phase 1 of Darat Photovoltaic Power Generation, said that in the process of construction, the project team overcame the difficulties and solved the problems such as drilling holes in the desert and windy weather in the desert. More than 23000 photovoltaic scaffolds were successfully built in the desert, more than 170000 photovoltaic panels were laid smoothly, and the construction schedule delayed by the epidemic was recovered. Successfully complete the construction task and achieve the goal of power generation soon to be connected to the grid.

It is reported that in its design, the project adopts the mode of "forest-light complementarity" to realize the "double optimization" of clean energy environmental protection benefit and crop planting economic benefit, planting sand barriers on the periphery of the base, creating protective green belts on both sides of the main road, densely planting dwarf economic forests suitable for local growth between photovoltaic arrays, stabilizing quicksand, resisting sandstorms, and steadily promoting desertification control. In addition to greening plants, red jujube, astragalus and other cash crops cover an area of 48000 mu, increasing the eco-economic income of local poor residents and providing strong support for getting rid of poverty.

According to reports, the energy saving and emission reduction effect of the project after being connected to the grid is equivalent to saving 660000 tons of standard coal, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 1.65 million tons, and reducing dust by 450000 tons every year, which will effectively improve the energy structure and eco-environmental quality of Inner Mongolia Autonomous region.
