SHANGHAI, Sep 11 (SMM) — Operating rates across primary lead smelters in Henan, Hunan and Yunnan provinces remained unchanged from a week ago at 59.3% in the week ended September 11, showed an SMM survey.
The average operating rate for smelters in Henan, Yunnan and Hunan steadied at 75.5%, 35.8% and 47.2% respectively.
Domestic primary lead smelters kept stable production this week. West Mining started a one-month maintenance, which is expected to reduce output by about 7,000 mt, and Liaoning Haicheng also began maintenance. Hunan Jingui temporarily plans to resume operations by end September.
