SMM: Tesla Model X has been rated as the new energy vehicle with the highest value preservation rate in China, according to a new report from the China Automobile Circulation Association. At the same time, according to a study by iSeeCars, Tesla Model 3 is considered to be the electric car with the highest value preservation rate in the United States.

Recently, the China Automobile Circulation Association ((CADA)) released a report on the value preservation rate of new energy vehicles, including pure electric vehicles, plug-in hybrid vehicles and fuel cell vehicles. Tesla Model X 75D has the highest value preservation rate of all new energy vehicles in China, usually retaining 67.3 per cent of its value when it is transferred to second-hand owners, according to the survey.

Compared with other electric vehicles, the value preservation rate of Tesla cars is often very high. Recently, a study from iSeeCars published in the automotive magazine Car and Driver shows that Tesla Model 3 is the electric car with the highest value preservation rate in the United States. A spokesman for iSeeCars said that the reason for the high preservation rate of Model 3 is its high demand and technology.

The depreciation rate of electric vehicles is often higher than that of fuel vehicles, with an average depreciation rate of 52%. By contrast, the average depreciation rate of gasoline-powered cars is 39%, and the average depreciation rate of pick-up trucks is 34%.

A spokesman for iSeeCars said that the reason for the high preservation rate of Model 3 is its high demand and technology. Demand for Tesla's Model 3 is still strong since it went into production in 2017, the spokesman said. Although the price of the used Model 3 is not much cheaper than the new car, it provides consumers with a more affordable choice and lowers the threshold for owning the Model 3.

Tesla is one of the most skilled and affordable cars in the United States and China. Even though there are more affordable options for second-hand electric cars than Tesla, they don't usually have the same range and technology as Tesla.
