SMM9 March 8: under the influence of the epidemic, subsidy retreat and brand-new policies, we will be able to better achieve accelerated counter-overshoot and rapid warming in the second half of the year. We have integrated the upstream and downstream enterprises located in the industrial chain, so why don't we follow our "lithium power travel" and inspect the production situation of raw material enterprises in China's lithium power industry on the spot? From September 8th to 11th, SMM Executive Director Ma Qiong, SMM New Energy Director Wang Tian, and marketing consultant Yu Lei led SMM staff and representatives of lithium downstream enterprises to visit Jiangxi Lithium Power Industry Raw material Enterprises. The third stop is Jiangxi Nansi Lithium New Materials Co., Ltd.

Enterprise voice

Today, representatives of SMM and lithium downstream enterprises came to Jiangxi Nansi Lithium New Materials Co., Ltd., a high-tech enterprise invested by Nan Industrial Investment Group Co., Ltd., and warmly welcomed and received Nan Lithium General Manager Liu Jianye, Supervisor Lu Xiaoya, Su Jie and other leaders. First of all, Liu Jianye introduced the business development of the company in detail.

Jiangxi Nanshi Lithium Power New Materials Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise invested by Nanshi Industrial Investment Group Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of 500 million yuan, located in the beautiful Wanzai Industrial Park in Yichun City, covering an area of 500 mu. At present, the company employs 513 people. Centering on the national strategy for the agglomeration and development of lithium new energy industry, the company relies on the high-quality lithium ore resources of "Lithium Capital of Asia" in Yichun. Focus on the comprehensive development and utilization of lithium ore extraction of lithium carbonate, lithium hydroxide and its rubidium, cesium, potassium and other high value-added products research, production and sales.

The construction of the company's project is divided into two phases, and the production line of 20, 000 tons of lithium carbonate and 6000 tons of lithium hydroxide in the first phase has been put into production at the end of October 2017. It is the world's first industrial production line for the preparation of battery-grade lithium carbonate by comprehensive and efficient utilization of lithium mica. The construction of the second phase of the project with an annual output of 40,000 tons of lithium carbonate was officially launched on November 11, 2017 and completed in July 2018. The trial production of one-time materials was successful and qualified products were produced. On August 23, 2018, the first batch of five tons of battery-grade lithium carbonate was officially taken off the production line. After the completion of the construction of the total project, it will reach the annual production capacity of 60, 000 tons of battery-grade lithium carbonate, achieve the output value of 10 billion, and become the top three in the comprehensive scale of the lithium carbonate material industry in the world.

The products produced by the company have been widely used in the fields of new energy, new materials and new medicine, and have been highly affirmed and praised by customers for their excellent quality and quality service.

Visit the factory

Subsequently, representatives of SMM and lithium downstream enterprises visited the Nansi lithium power plant and learned about China's leading sulfuric acid low temperature solid state technology, continuous induced crystallization separation and impurity removal technology, comprehensive and efficient utilization of lithium mica, extraction of battery-grade lithium carbonate and its high value-added potassium, rubidium and cesium products, which has the economic and technological advantages of high recovery, energy saving and low comprehensive cost. At the same time, with its technology of zero discharge of waste water, waste gas and waste residue, it has become a demonstration benchmark for clean production and green environmental protection in the domestic industry.

exchange of technical know-how

Representatives of SMM and lithium downstream enterprises had in-depth exchanges with Nan Lithium on the impact of lithium carbonate production of lithium mica on cost, the company's production status, products and so on.

On the effect of lithium carbonate production of lithium mica on cost and relative to lithium concentrate? Nan's Lithium Power said that it has strong cost control. Previously, there were three main breakthrough factors in extracting lithium from mica: quality, high cost (low content, complex composition, difficult to remove some elements, etc.), and planning and production was difficult to achieve. Nan's factory was built in 17 years and put into production in 18 years. 19 years of technological breakthroughs have made a good breakthrough in these three problems.

In terms of quality, we take the more sensitive elements downstream to the extreme. After 19 years of technical maturity, Nan Lithium is strictly controlled within 60-80ppm of potassium and sodium salt. In addition, in the magnetic material, we can now stably control at about 100, the quality has kept up with the downstream demand.

In terms of cost, one-step production saves a lot of processes, and purification saves 6000-8000 yuan / ton, mainly based on technological breakthroughs to save costs, and broke through the bottleneck of mica lithium extraction in the first half of 19 years.

In terms of planning, we plan to achieve a capacity of 30,000 tons of lithium carbonate in 2020, 50,000 tons in 2021 and 70,000 tons in 2022. Lithium hydroxide is scheduled to be put into production in the second half of the year.

In terms of the prospect of the lithium extraction market for lithium mica, Nan's Lithium Power said that the future of extracting lithium carbonate from mica is inestimable, and from the point of view of the epidemic, spodumene imports have been greatly affected. Mica ore is covered with treasures, as well as the value of by-products such as tantalum and niobium, and there is almost no waste from mining to making products. At present, it is also the direction that the country pays close attention to.

Inspection unit license

SMM specially set up an inspection unit licensing link to add a ceremonial sense of harmonious development and pleasant communication between the inspected enterprise and the inspected enterprise. Ma Qiong, executive director of SMM, awarded the license to Nan Lithium Power on the spot.

Take a group photo as a souvenir

After visiting the factory, representatives of SMM and lithium downstream enterprises took a group photo with Nan Lithium to increase their deeper cooperation and friendship. I believe there will be deeper exchanges and cooperation in the future!

After this visit and research, SMM and representatives of downstream lithium enterprises have a deeper understanding of Nan's lithium products, technology, and company development, as well as a deeper understanding of the market situation, development trend, and existing problems of the lithium industry, and will continue to deepen cooperation with major enterprises to achieve complementary advantages and jointly promote the development of China's lithium industry.

SMM Daily Review: Spot lithium carbonate prices continued to drift lower on September 16
Today, SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate spot prices continued to drift lower compared with the previous trading day. The lithium carbonate 2701 contract opened lower at 129,300 yuan/mt today. After the open, bears kept up the pressure, and prices drifted lower along the average price line, hitting an intraday low of 124,000 yuan/mt in the morning session. Around midday, bargain hunting emerged at lower levels, and prices rebounded, briefly rising to around 127,000 yuan/mt in the afternoon before meeting resistance and pulling back again. Near the close, prices moved sideways around 125,800 yuan/mt, with open interest down 1,204 lots. In the spot market, downstream buyers continued to stockpile at lower prices ahead of the September and October holidays. A small number of material producers remained cautious, with spot order purchase intentions below 125,000 yuan/mt. Upstream lithium chemical plants continued to hold spot order prices firm and held back from selling, though some high-priced offers softened slightly. Overall, market inquiries and actual transactions remained active.
