SMM9 March 8: today, Zhangyuan Tungsten Industry announced the long order quotation in the first half of September, in which wolframite concentrate (WO3 ≥ 55%) was reported to be 86500 yuan / standard ton, which was 4500 yuan / standard ton higher than the previous period (long order quotation in the second half of August); scheelite concentrate (WO3 ≥ 55%) was reported at 85000 yuan / standard ton, 4500 yuan / standard ton higher than the previous period; Ammonium paratungstate (national standard zero) was 131000 yuan / ton, an increase of 5000 yuan / ton compared with the previous period.
According to SMM, the price of tungsten series products has been rising since July this year, starting from the tungsten concentrate at the raw material end, and gradually transmitted to the downstream powder, tungsten carbide, ammonium paratungstate (APT) and other products, realizing the improvement of the overall price level of the whole industry chain.

The main reason for this price adjustment can be attributed to the tight supply of tungsten concentrate raw materials, reduced spot flow of tungsten, increased prices, and the cost side also supports the price of tungsten products.
On the demand side, overseas orders do not show obvious signs of recovery, domestic alloy production orders also remain weak, downstream only maintain rigid demand for an appropriate amount of procurement.
Recently, Jiang Tungsten Group, Xiamen Tungsten Industry, Ganzhou Tungsten Association and Zhangyuan Tungsten Industry have set prices in September, all of which are higher than in August.
APT long unit price of Taixia tungsten in early September is 128800 yuan / ton.
The price of Hanjiang tungsten grade 1 wolframite concentrate is 88000 yuan / standard ton in September.
The price of 55% wolframite concentrate in Ganzhou Tungsten Association and Zhangyuan Tungsten Industry is 86500 yuan per standard ton and 131,000 yuan per ton.
The price of granular tungsten powder in Ganzhou Tungsten Association is 205 yuan / kg.
From the market reaction, the recent enterprise shipping enthusiasm is generally not high, in the case that it is difficult to ensure that the supply of raw materials at an appropriate price, are cautious quotation and shipment. It is expected that after the dust of quotations from large enterprises and institutions settled yesterday, merchant shipments may increase.
Tungsten products and their uses
Tungsten products are widely used in various industries of the national economy, including equipment manufacturing, mechanical processing, metallurgical mines, military and electronic communications industries. Ammonium paratungstate (APT): is a product obtained from wet smelting of tungsten concentrate. The series of ammonium paratungstate products mainly include single crystal ammonium paratungstate and polycrystalline ammonium paratungstate.
Tungsten oxide: the product of calcination and decomposition of ammonium paratungstate (APT), which is the main raw material for the production of tungsten powder and other chemical products.
Tungsten powder: the product prepared from tungsten oxide and then reduced by hydrogen, mainly used as raw material for tungsten processing and tungsten carbide production.
Tungsten carbide powder: the product of metal tungsten powder carbonized at high temperature, which is the main raw material for the production of cemented carbide.
Thermal spray powder: a kind of alloy powder mainly made of tungsten carbide, chromium carbide, cobalt, nickel and other raw materials through ball milling, spray granulation, sintering, crushing and screening, batch production and other production processes. These characteristic powders are instantly heated by supersonic flame spraying and sprayed to the workpiece surface with high-speed hot airflow to form a strengthening layer to improve the wear resistance, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, fatigue resistance, oxidation resistance and repair dimensions of the workpiece surface. Thermal spray powder is widely used in a wide range of fields, mainly related to the enhancement and repair of surface performance in petroleum, iron and steel, papermaking, automotive, military, aerospace, shipbuilding, water conservancy and power, mechanical processing and new energy industries.
Cemented carbide: a kind of alloy material sintered by powder metallurgy with one or more refractory metal carbides (such as tungsten carbide and titanium carbide) as hard phase and metal cobalt, nickel and iron as bonding phase. Cemented carbide is known as "the tooth of industry" because of its high hardness, strength, wear resistance and corrosion resistance. it is widely used in military industry, aerospace, mechanical processing, metallurgy, oil drilling, mine mining, resource development, geological exploration, water conservancy and transportation, construction engineering, electronic communications, mold manufacturing and other fields.
Cutting blades: there are mainly welding blades, machine clamp blades, coated blades and numerical control blades, in which coated blades are obtained by coating refractory metal or non-metallic compounds with better wear resistance on the surface of cemented carbide inserts by vapor deposition technology.
Mining alloys: there are mainly cemented carbide brazing bits, ball teeth, cutters, road cutting teeth, etc., which are used to make rock drilling bits, down-hole bits, thread bits, cone bits, road first planing bits, coal cutting teeth, tunneling teeth, rotary cutting teeth, suitable for mine mining, oil drilling, resource development, geological exploration, water conservancy and transportation, construction engineering and so on.
Alloy bar: round bar cemented carbide products made by molding or extrusion. Mainly used in the manufacture of integral cemented carbide tools, such as PCB bits, end milling cutters, cutters, hole machining and other cutting tools.
Other alloys: mainly customized non-standard products according to customer needs, such as cold heading die, wire drawing die, alloy plate, long strip, wear-resistant parts, sealing ring, shield knife, sand bar and so on.
Cutting tool: it is a tool used for cutting in mechanical manufacturing, also known as cutting tool. The blade and all kinds of tool holders are made into cutting tools by welding, clamping and other methods, which are suitable for all kinds of industrial cutting.
