Tesla joins Fair Cobalt Alliance

SMM9, March 8: American electric carmaker Tesla has joined the Fair Cobalt Alliance (FCA), an organization aimed at improving the artisanal mining industry in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The Fair Cobalt Alliance (FCA) will help improve the attractiveness of cobalt in the Democratic Republic of the Congo by setting working standards for artisanal mining. Artisanal mining is part of the industry, which has been hit by fears of child labour and unsafe work.

Huayou Cobalt’s hydro-metallurgy project in Indonesia achieved great progress

The delivery ceremony of a high-pressure reactor, a core equipment of the hydro-metallurgy project at Huayue Nickel & Cobablt (Indonesia) of Huayou Cobalt & Morimatsu, was held at Morimatsu’s Nantong factory on November 20.
