SMM: a few days ago, Great Wall officially released the latest sales results. According to the data, the company sold 89442 cars in August, an increase of 14% from the previous month and 27% from the same period last year. The cumulative sales from January to August in 2020 were 562878. Of these, Great Wall sold 82594 vehicles in the domestic market in August, up 15 per cent from the previous month and 32 per cent year-on-year, while sales in overseas markets were 6848 in August, up 9 per cent from the previous month.
In terms of its brands, Harvard sold 56128 vehicles in August, up 18.1 per cent from a month earlier and 11.7 per cent year-on-year. The Harvard H6 once again won the top spot in China's SUV market with sales of 27528 vehicles, a month-on-month increase of 16% and a year-on-year growth of 9.7%, marking the 87th month that the model has won the title. In addition to the Harvard H6, the brand also sells more than 10, 000 models a month, including the Harvard F7 and the Harvard M6, of which 11516 were sold in August, an increase of 14.1% from the previous month and a year-on-year increase of 71.6%.
The WEY brand sold 7504 vehicles in August, an increase of 7.1% over the same period last year, and 5.8% month-on-month growth. The cumulative sales from January to August reached 41234. In terms of its models, WEY VV6 sold 4453 vehicles in August, up 3.3% from a year earlier, and the VV7 also achieved a year-on-year increase of 37.2%. It is reported that the pre-sale of the new WEY brand model Tank 300, which is based on the tank platform, will be officially launched in 2020.
In the pickup sector, Great Wall pickup sales in August were 20951, up 80 per cent from a year earlier, with sales exceeding 20, 000 for four consecutive months and a market share of nearly 50 per cent. Among them, 11100 guns were sold in August, exceeding 10,000 for four consecutive months. So far, the cumulative global sales of Great Wall pickup has been close to 1.8 million. The Euler brand sold 4794 vehicles in August, up 291.3 per cent from a year earlier. Among them, Euler Black Cats sold 3748 vehicles in August, an increase of 238.3% over the same period last year.
Sales of 563000 vehicles were completed in eight months, although there is still a gap from the revised sales target of 1.02 million vehicles, but the result is satisfactory under the influence of the epidemic. In fact, compared with the sales figures, Great Wall's biggest achievements this year mainly have two points: one is the launch of the third generation of Harvard H6, where the new and old models are sold in the same house, and the champion of Harvard H6 is more stable; the second is that with the release of the two major technology brands "Coffee Intelligence" and "Tank", Great Wall's high-end brand WEY has found the direction of brand development-intelligent off-road.
