SMM News: United Nations Secretary-General Guterres recently sent a letter to member States, saying that the United Nations is facing serious financial difficulties, and the arrears of membership dues are as high as 1.52 billion US dollars. In this regard, at today's regular press conference of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, spokeswoman Hua Chunying said: as the second General Assembly of the United Nations, China has been fully fulfilling its financial obligations to the United Nations and has paid the full membership dues of the United Nations this year. The United States is the largest country in arrears, with long-term arrears of membership dues, and the arrears of the United States account for more than 2% of the total arrears of various countries, which is the main reason for the financial difficulties of the United Nations.
